North American CO2 Summit 2024

If the biggest growth in the CO2 business was seen in the last quarter of the 20th century and market maturity occurred in the last 20 years, will the next decade be defined by turmoil or renewed growth?

Repeated cycles of supply shortages, coupled with sourcing diversification and the impact of decarbonisation pressures on customers, lead many to think a period of turmoil lies ahead. Others point to growing awareness of CO2’s importance and the emerging opportunities in utilisation as reasons for fresh impetus in the next decade and beyond.

Whatever the viewpoint, one thing is certain – change is upon us in the CO2 business and there are questions to be addressed.

With sustainability policies largely focused on carbon storage, for example, and the customer impacted by Scope 1 & 2 emissions mandates that could herald a shift towards CO2 alternatives, does decarbonisation represent a threat to CO2 markets and how can that be overcome?

How will CO2 procurement planning be affected by market change and disruption? And after a stable 2023 for CO2 markets, should we expect volatility in 2024 and how might that be mitigated?

Join us in Nashville…

There is work to be done in preparing for and not just adapting to change, but embracing it.

There is sourcing and supply security to be achieved; lessons to be learned in decarbonisation policy and process; opportunities to be grasped in new markets; technology innovation to be realised; and paramount to all of this is the absolute necessity in product purity and safety.
