Boon Hai began his career in 1992 with the Air Liquide Group as a project engineer in Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide.

He spent the next 15 years in Singapore, developing strong operational, technical and marketing competencies, and assuming various positions with increasing responsibilities in Sales and Marketing, Business Development and Electronics Total Gas Management operations.

His last position in Singapore was to oversee the Large Industry business as General Manager. In this role, he successfully strategized the rapid development of several game-changing big petrochemical projects with key oil majors and petrochemical companies, establishing the foundations for an extensive infrastructure that continues to be a strong Air Liquide competitive advantage in Singapore today.

In 2007, Boon Hai was posted to Thailand as the Managing Director where he took responsibility for the full spectrum of Air Liquide’s business in Thailand. In 2012, he moved to Taiwan as President of Air Liquide Far Eastern, where he took on the challenge of navigating it successfully through the volatile industry cycles that defined this sector during his term. In Taiwan, he managed the four business lines of Industrial Merchant, Electronics, Large Industry and Healthcare.

In 2016, he assumed his current position as Vice-President of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, with responsibility for 8 entities across 10 countries.
