As Chairman, President, and Chief Scientist of Guangzhou Guanggang Gases & Energy Co., Ltd. (G-gas), Tom Deng plays a pivotal role in advancing development and technological innovation within the industrial gas sector. In addition to his leadership at G-gas, he serves as Vice-Chairman of the 9th Council of the China Industrial Gas Industry Association and President of the Guangdong Industrial Gas Industry Association, where he further drives progress and collaboration in the industry.

With over 30 years of dedication to the industrial gas industry, Deng has successfully led G-gas’ rapid transformation from a local bulk gas production company into a national industrial gas leader. The company is now listed on the Shanghai stock market and serves a wide range of customers in the electronics and healthcare sectors.

Deng has developed customized solutions for ultra-high purity nitrogen supply systems, with hourly supply capacities ranging from 2K to 70K. These innovative designs provide customers with the highest quality assurance and supply reliability. He also led the team in acquiring helium assets divested by Linde in 2020, marking a new chapter for G-gas as it became an international player in the global helium market.

Deng graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Cryogenic Science.
