Sam A. Rushing is President of Advanced Cryogenics, Ltd., a major carbon dioxide (CO2) consulting and cryogenic gas consulting firm, working globally for decades.

The company provides a full menu of CO2 consulting tasks, including topics surrounding market intelligence, applications, sourcing, and quality. This comprises everything from technical consultancy through to business-related work

Rushing lives and works in Florida, and is a chemist by education. He has been in the carbon dioxide and chemical industries for his entire working career – now over 40 years.

His first job in the industry was with Van Waters and Rogers, and less than two years later, he joined a predecessor company of Amerigas CO2 Division, SEC Corporation, headquartered in El Paso, Texas. SEC was a regional producer of carbon dioxide, and a re-seller of various chemical gases. SEC was then purchased by UGI Corporation, which was positioned as a building block of the early Amerigas; which became part of what developed into the Amerigas CO2 Division.

In the early 1990s, Rushing chose to establish his independent presence as Advanced Cryogenics, Ltd. The company covers all subjects in primarily CO2 and atmospheric gases, and provides services nationally, as well as globally, with clients including major and minor power, municipal, chemical, oil and gas, biofuels, and legal concerns, to mention a few.
