Roger Sayah graduated from Université St Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon with an electrical engineering degree. He joined Société d’Oxygène et d’Acétylène du Liban (SOAL), an affiliate for Air Liquide, in 1988 and was with the company for seven years before joining the Ministry of Environment. He rejoined Air Liquide In 2006, after a short spell working for Power Trading company in Paris and moved to Dubai in 2008 to manage the newly acquired Pure Helium Gulf Co. Following a reasonable spell in helium, he participated in various projects in the UAE and Iraq.
In 2014, Sayah joined the main independent regional gas company Gulf Cryo, where he managed the business in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He returned to his birth country in 2017 to join the Promedic Group, managing the Lebanon and Kuwait business before accepting his current role as General Secretary of the Middle East Gases Association (MEGA).
