Rohlfing has a strong geological background and is a seasoned oil & gas industry executive with over 20 years of experience in concept, development, conducting and managing successful exploration, completion, development and production of oil and gas and minerals worldwide. His geological exploration, drilling, production and long-term operational experience includes working with a wide variety of companies, such as helium, noble gases, hydrocarbons, precious metals, diamonds and gemstones in extremely diverse geographical locations. These include the mid-continent of the US, Alaska, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Canada, and Southeast Asia.
His wide-ranging skill sets include hands-on experience, in operating, managing, and conducting drill programs and cost-effective operations for hydrocarbons across the mid and southwest US. Most recently, under Rohlfing’s leadership, the Desert Mountain Energy team has drilled responsibly, explored and initiated helium production in Arizona. His extensive knowledge and understanding of Arizona geology and specifically within Arizona’s Holbrook Basin and its structural features which serve for both generation and potential trapping mechanisms for commercial helium, noble gases and hydrogen reservoirs.
