Ned Lane is the President and CEO of St. Louis, Missouri-based CK Supply. He has been with CK Supply for 29 years, originally joining the company in 1995 as manager of gas operations. In 2000, after a number of senior roles, he was named President of the company – a position he has held for the past 24 years.
Lane took on CEO responsibilities on January 1, 2021. In this role, he is responsible for leading the senior management team as well as leading the company through strategic planning processes, identifying the business’ core values, core purpose, target markets, and strategic initiatives. He has led the company through continuous growth and the transition to an employee-owned company (ESOP).
Prior to CK, Lane spent five years with MG Industries (1990-1995) in a various roles and six years at the start of his career with Air Products (1984-1990).
Lane is a long-term member of GAWDA and served on the GAWDA Board of Directors from 2007 to 2011. He was on the Executive Board from 2016 to 2021 and served as GAWDA President from 2017 by 2018.
CK Supply is in the unique situation of being a CO2 producer (210 TPD), dry ice manufacturer at three locations, and operates a bev-carb/micro bulk CO2 Division. CK is also a traditional gas and welding supply distributor, which also includes a specialty gas division, repair and service center, technical automation center, and a cylinder re-test division. The company also hosts an extensive training facility.
