Michael Mortensen was named Chief Commercial Officer in 2014, responsible for global project sales, global process and technologies, global product management and global marketing.

Mortensen joined Union Engineering in 2003 as export sales manager for the Industrial Gases Segment. In 2007 he became general sales manager for the Industrial Gases Segment and in 2009 was appointed chief sales officer with global responsibility for all sales and marketing activities.

Prior to his employment with Union Engineering, Mortensen spent three years in Asia serving as deputy director for the Danish Trade Council in Taiwan,  Taipei. Prior to this he worked for a Danish Engineering company specialised in bitumen process technologies, first as project manager and later as responsible for global sales and marketing.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, from Odense Technical University and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College.
