Matthew (Matt) Thomas is Senior Director of Global Helium Supply, Sourcing and Business Development at Linde Inc. He is responsible for the growth, procurement, and development of helium sourcing opportunities, in addition to management and execution of large helium capital projects.

Thomas joined Praxair in 2007 as a plant engineer in the North American Industrial Gases business in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2009, he transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah and progressed through regional operations management and commercial sales positions. In 2014, Thomas relocated to Houston, Texas, responsible for the global operations of Praxair’s Oil & Gas Services business and progressed through commercial leadership positions in sales and business development management for Oil & Gas Services in Praxair and Linde Inc post-merger. In January 2021, Thomas moved into the Director – Global Helium Sourcing role.

Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Alabama – Huntsville, an MBA from Indiana University and is a United States Navy Veteran.
