David Minchin is CEO of Helium One, which listed on the AIM board of the London Stock Exchange in December 2020 with the ticker He1. Helium One has identified a globally unique, large-scale, high-grade, primary helium project in Tanzania with ‘Best Estimate’ Un-risked Prospective Resource of 138 Bcf (2U/P50) for the Company’s Rukwa Project.  Helium is associated with Nitrogen meaning that the project has potentially strategic global implications with the ability to significantly resolve helium supply/demand issues in the transition to a green economy.

David is a geologist with over 15 years’ experience in mineral exploration and production, significant expertise in corporate finance and passionate interest in environmentalism, sustainability and green technology.

Previously Director of Geology for AMED Funds, a multicommodity private equity group focussing on development projects in Africa.  At AMED David was responsible for the investment of approximately US$450 million in various projects from the exploration to feasibility stages. He has previously worked in various geological and managerial roles for Rio Tinto, the British Geological Survey, Cleveland Potash Limited and most recently as managing director of ScandiVanadium Ltd.

He holds a Master’s degree in Geology from University of Southampton.
