Professional Background
Bob Knight’s career began in the United States Armed Forces, serving on active duty in the U.S. Army. Following his six years of active military duty, Bob joined BOC Gases, a global industrial gas supplier. He spent 20 years at BOC Gases serving in positions of Field Engineer, Regional Manager of Customer Service and Field Engineering, and Director of Process Operations. In addition, Bob continued his military career as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired in 2008, holding the rank of Colonel, after serving one year combat tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Bob left the Industrial Gas business in 2003 to join Honour Inc., a privately held project management company, specializing in consulting and commercial construction. He held the position of Chief Operating Officer until the company was purchased by Newmark Knight Frank, a large commercial real estate firm. He left the construction industry behind in 2010 to once again pursue an opportunity to get back into the Industrial Gas Industry, taking the position of the Beverage Product Manager for Chart Industries. After two years in this position, Bob took over the position of Microbulk Product Manager. His product responsibilities included the PermaCyl storage tanks, Orca delivery vehicles, and high pressure gas supply trifectas. He recently took on a new role as the applications development manager for both the Cannabis and Laser markets.
EDUCATION
Bob has a B.S. Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York. He also has a Masters in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
