Aldo Fumagalli Romario currently holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director at The SOL Group. Aldo was born in Milan on 23rd April, 1958. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering, full marks with honours from the Politecnico University, Milan.

He is a member of many boards and organisations including Buzzi Unicem Spa, the General Council of  Confindustria, (Federation of Italian Industries), the Presidency Council, of the Board of Directors and of the Council of Federchimica (Italian Chemical Industries Federation), the General Council of Assolombarda (Association of Lombardian Industries) and the Member of General Council of ASPEN Institute – Italy.

Some of Aldo’s past activities include Chairman and then President of IOMA (International Oxygen Manufacturers Association) from 2010 – 2012, President of the Sustainable Environment Commission of Confindustria from 2008 – 2012 and Vice-Chairman of Credito Valtellinese Spa (CREVAL Group) from 2012 – 2014.
